As part of Charlestown Rotary Clubs efforts to raise funds for the Rotary Foundation the club is  participating in the Hamilton Uniting Church’s “Trees and Art for Charity” project which involves 14 other beautiful Christmas Trees that have been decorated by other organisations all vying for votes and donations for the best tree.
All donations will help make a real difference this Christmas to the charities these trees represent; naturally we hope that you will vote for Charlestown’s Rotary Foundation Christmas Tree.
Opening hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are 11am-2pm, Saturday 11am-1pm, Wednesday & Friday 10am-2.30pm. The church also runs a terrific little café “Bills Place Cafe” with homemade light lunches and cakes, gift ideas, preloved books, CDs & DVDs for $1, clothes and shoes $5.
And there is more, Newcastle Society of Artists are exhibiting a range of small, affordable, quality artwork priced from as little as $50 with 25% going to the tree charities.  This is a great way to buy original art work for Christmas while supporting those in need.
Please consider visiting and supporting “Trees and Art for Charity” and The Rotary Foundation at Hamilton Uniting Church 150 Beaumont Street, Hamilton (corner of Beaumont and Denison Streets).
