Rotary in Australia (Zone 8) public relations team has been working on a partnership with Channel Nine and A Current Affair (ACA).
Three further stories will be aired to promote positive public images of Rotary. We encourage you to promote these programs and build community following through facebook and twitter posts.
On 9 November, ACA did a special program to help James Lehane and his children who lost their wife and mother (Andrea) after she was run down by teenagers on monkey bikes at the Carrum Downs shopping centre. To hear about the stories, click here or for an updated one, click here. To donate to the family, go to here.
Around the 15 to 18 of December, ACA will put to air a story on Sharon Chan and how she is progressing and Rotary will be mentioned, and in fact we have been asked to be part of the program.
On the 7 and 8 of December, ACA will be shooting a story involving the Choir of Hard Knocks to be air on Christmas Eve with Tracy Grimshaw. The story will talk about the amazing success the Choir has had in helping those socially isolated, homeless and unemployed to re-enter society. The Choir will be doing a tour of Australia to celebrate their 10th Anniversary from March 2016 and the funds will assist them to continue their work across Australia.
Once again RAWCS - Rotary Australia Benevolent Society (RABS) will pay an important part in sourcing funds to be placed in Trust.
These 3 programs will be beneficial to those whose stories are being told and also give Rotary in Australia, a massive positive public image opportunity.
