Steve Jackson became the District Governor at the District Changeover on 2 July,and was  formally introduced by Immediate Past District Governor Adrian Roach. 
 
 
 Steve was born and educated on the central and north western slopes in NSW. He has a pilot's licence and  legal qualifications, and has worked in criminal and family law. Since 1994, Steve has been a local Court Magistrate, and even in retirement, still works as a Magistrate on occasions 
Steve has been a  previous member of the Rotary clubs of  Cessnock, Port Macquarie West , Newcastle Sunrise and Maitland Sunrise and is currently a member of  the Rotary Club of Cessnock.  Having fulfilled many director's portfolios, Steve has been club president twice as well as serving on district committees - Youth Exchange  and the Rotary Foundation. Steve has also served  District 9670 as  the District Insurance Officer, Secretary-General at the Model United Nations Assembly, District Legal Officer, Public Officer and Chair of Resolutions sessions at District Conference. 
In his "spare " time, Steve has been a member of the Rural Fire Service for approximately 40 years and has held many positions including Group Leader, trainer and Fire Control Officer.
